Please join our community of bereaved parents, loved ones, and all who are affected by pregnancy loss for, our annual fundraiser to support our programs that make quality perinatal bereavement support accessible in Pittsburgh.

Together we will participate in the International Wave of Light, a world wide candle-lighting and remembrance ceremony and to find comfort with other bereaved families in a peaceful setting. We hope you will find participation meaningful, surrounded by a safe space to honor your baby.

This year's theme is the lotus flower, which represents purity, beauty, and transcendence. It has long been revered for its ability to remain pure, its center never tainted by its journey, despite growing only in a muddy and murky environment. Symbolically, out of a dark place, we can all come together in an evening of togetherness and connection, remembering our babies' purity of heart and soul. The lotus flower blooms slowly one petal at a time, which is similar to the gradual steps required to reach spiritual enlightenment. In this sense, the lotus is a symbol of personal progress.

Lotus Candle Lighting - At 7 pm, a floating lotus candle will be lit in memory of each child, and set afloat on the water as we participate in the Wave of Light that travels around the world.

Calming Sensory Jars - Create your own sensory "toy" that can help calm emotions and soothe your mind.  Add your own special blend of glitter, charms and jewels to create swirling patterns and pops of sparkle and this becomes a wonderful screen-free alternative to zone-out.
